This promotion is sponsored by Marriott Vacation Club
International.
Sweepstakes begins at 12:01 AM Eastern Daylight Time
(EDT) August 1, 2000 and ends at 11:59 PM EDT on October 15,
2000.
Sweepstakes is offered only in the United States. United States to residents that are at
least 18 years of age.
2.
WHO
CAN ENTER: Sweepstakes is open only to Marriott Vacation
Club International owners.
Employees of Marriott International, Inc and their
affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising or promotional agencies
and the immediate families and members of the households of
such employees are ineligible. Void where prohibited by law.
3.
HOW
TO ENTER: Marriott Vacation Club International owners may
register for the sweepstakes by submitting names and addresses
of qualified referrals via the mail in entry form obtained
from the July 2000 issue of Shared Times to the address listed
below.
Owners may also register on-line at
www.vacationclub.com
by submitting up to ten (10) names of friends they are
referring to us to contact.
In the case of a dispute in the identity of the
individual submitting an entry, the entry will be deemed to be
submitted by the individual in whose name and/or e-mail
account is
registered.
All pre-existing referrals are
excluded.
An owner will be entered into the sweepstakes for each
referral name.
Maximum of
ten entries per person.
All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will
not be acknowledged or returned.
4.
RANDOM DRAWING: Winner will be selected in a random
drawing conducted by Sponsor on or about October 30, 2000 from
among all eligible entries received. Winner will be notified
by certified mail on or about November 15, 2000.
Odds of winning a prize depends on the number of
eligible entries received.
Winner must provide referral name of the recipient of
the second vacation package in writing upon notice of winning.
Once winning referral name is provided, no
substitutions or transfers allowed.
5.
WHAT CAN YOU WIN: Two (2) identical Grand Prize
vacation packages to be awarded to one (1) winning owner.
One Grand Prize vacation package is non-transferable
and must be used by the Grand Prize winning owner, the second
grand prize package will be transferable by the Grand Prize
winning owner to one of their referrals.
Each Grand Prize winner will be awarded a Marriott
Rewards® certificate for a 8 day/7 night stay at any Marriott
Vacation Club International resort.
Accommodations are for a two-bedroom villa based on
availability and blackout dates. Advance reservations are
required and travel must be completed within one year of
issuance of certificates.
Winner will also receive a certificate from HERTZ® for
a mid-size rental car for 8 days.
The rental award includes the cost of a rental car
only; operating costs, taxes, gas, insurance and upgrades are
the sole responsibility of the winner.
Minimum rental age is 25 years of age and Hertz
standard rental qualifications apply.
Grand Prize winners will also
receive a Marriott Rewards® certificate which may be
redeemed for two round trip coach airline tickets to their
vacation destination.
(Carrier to be determined by each winners origin and
selected destination).
The rules and regulations for the redemption of
Marriott Rewards Points are outlined in the Guide
to Marriott Rewards.
Approximate retail value of the two Grand Prize
packages including airfare, accommodations and rental car is
$6,400.

PRIZE RESTRICTIONS: Winners are responsible for all
taxes on prizes and all expenses related to the acceptance and
use of a prize and not specified. Prizes are non-transferable.
Prizes
may not be redeemed for cash. No prize substitution except by
Sponsor due to prize unavailability.
7.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:
Potential Grand Prize winner may be required to sign
and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability
and, except where prohibited, a Publicity Release within 15
days of notification.
Non-compliance with this time period or return of prize
notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification
and an alternate winner will be selected.
If winner is not of age of majority in state of
residence, prize may be awarded in name of parent or legal
guardian.
Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission to the
Sponsor and its agencies to use winner’s name and likeness
for purposes of advertising and trade without further
compensation unless prohibited by law; and winner agrees to
sign and return any document requested by sponsor for such
purpose.
By participating, entrants (a) agree to these Official
Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and its agents which
shall be final; (b) agree to release and to hold Sponsor and
its directors, employees and assigns, harmless against any and
all claims, liability and damages arising out of their
participation and the acceptance and use of prize; and (c)
acknowledge that the Sponsor has neither made, nor is, in any
manner, responsible or liable for any warranty, representation
or guarantee, expressed or implied in fact or law, relative to
the prizes.
8.
DISCLAIMER:
Sponsor and its agents are not responsible for error,
omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations
or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access
to or alterations of entry materials, or for technical,
network, telephone, computer, hardware or software
malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of, or
failure of Sponsor to receive entry information on account of
technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at
any Web site or any combination thereof.
Sponsor is also not responsible for any injury or
damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related
to or resulting from playing or downloading any materials in
the sweepstakes, or for mail that is late, lost, misdirected,
damaged, incomplete, illegible or postage-due.
If this promotion becomes technically corrupted or
compromised due to any of the foregoing factors or
non-authorized human intervention, Sponsor reserves the right,
in its sole discretion, to terminate sweepstakes in its
entirety or to select winner from all eligible entries
received prior to the termination.
9.
WINNER’S LIST: Names of winners will be available by
mailing a self-addressed stamped envelope to Marriott Vacation
Club International's “Share the Winnings" Sweepstakes
Winners, P.O. Box 690548, Orlando, FL
32869-0548, for receipt by October 15, 2000.
Vermont and Washington residents may omit return
postage.
